Welcome on board!
The 2-Control team has been expanded again with not one, but two new colleagues. Tom Suykerbuyk has started as software engineer and Maurice Scholter has become our marketing & sales manager. They both introduce themselves to you:
Maurice Scholten
My name is Maurice Scholten, as of September 1 started as Marketing & Sales Manager for 2-Control.
Over the past eight years, I have held various commercial roles, most recently in the software industry. From 2017 I was working for a global ISV that integrates B2B eCommerce with Dynamics and SAP ERPs. There I was involved in setting up the inside sales team as the first representative. Later, as a consultant, I specialized in developing the partner onboarding strategy. For the last two and a half years, I founded and coordinated a new business line focused on implementations and customization in the ERP. I now bring my strategic knowledge of initiating new commercial and functional initiatives, and my practical knowledge of Dynamics, to 2-Control.
Interested in the human mind, both in sales and beyond, I started BSc Psychology at Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2018 next to my work. There I am now specializing in clinical and organizational psychology. My first academic writing described the positive influence of mindfulness on work performance. Although psychology is not the first study associated with business, I strongly believe in the value of diversity where different perspectives lead to more creativity and better results.
In my spare time, I am a volunteer firefighter with the Rotterdam-Rijnmond Fire Brigade. From this I take solution orientation and creativity with me. Also, knowing how to extinguish a proverbial fire comes in handy in working life. In addition, I like to go out in nature, do sport regularly and live with my girlfriend in Rotterdam.
I look forward to working with you on the safety of your internal systems!
Tom Suykerbuyk
My name is Tom Suykerbuyk and I joined 2-Control as a senior software developer on 1 October 2021.
I live in Halsteren with my wife Annet and my children Wouter (18) and Iris (16). I started studying at Avans Hogeschool in Breda and then moved on to Hogeschool West Brabant to study Information Technology. This mainly involves a mix of telecommunications, measurement and control technology, electronics, and software.
After school, I started at Ericsson in Rijen, first 3 years in 3rd line service and later at R&D software development. I then came via Philips security (later Bosch security), Sioux embedded systems (various assignments at Philips medical and ASML), Elster Instromet, Skalar, and finally CM.com to 2-Control. So actually I started more in the embedded corner of software and now since CM.com I am fully in web-based applications.
In my spare time, I like to walk my dogs, garden, and barbecue. In the past, I used to cycle a lot (cycling and mountain biking) but unfortunately, I haven't been able to do so for a while. Furthermore, I am a fan of Formula 1 and do not skip a race if possible.
I have been with 2-control for a month now and I already feel that it fits like a glove. I am looking forward to making something good out of it!
